Pred 152b Reflection

An electronic porfolio (e-portfolio) is a purposeful collection of sample student work, demonstrations, and artifacts that showcase student's learning progression, achievement, and evidence of what students can do. The collection can include essays and papers (text-based), blog, multimedia (recordings of demonstrations, interviews, presentations, etc.), graphic. The importance of the different outputs are, for us to become a more efficient and effective teachers in the future. It will also help us to inculcate in children the 21 st century skills that they need. Our instructor Ma’am Crysil Compedio impart us her learning on ICT tools. She is very knowledgeable and confident everytime she teaches us. Our class would be boring if she won’t laugh if there’s someone will give a joke. Flipgrid

Flipgrid  Flipgrid is a website that allows teachers to create ''grids'' to facilitate video discussions. Each grid is like a message board where teachers can post questions, called ''topics'' and their students can post video responses that appear in a field grid display. As for me, the problems I encountered while using the flipgrid was that it needs a very fast internet connection. Also, it takes time to download the video. Though the flipgrid is not that easy to access I don''t have any choice but to try using this one. It is quiet enjoyable because it has an interaction between the person from the video and also with the viewer.

WEBQUEST

Webquest Webquest - is an inquiry oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web. These can be created using various programs, including a simple word processing document that includes links and websites. Based on my experienced, I did not encountered issues on problems in the webquest because for me, it is easy to apply what I've learned form our previous discussions also it is comfortable to use. The webquest taught me that doing a lesson plan was not just only accessible with the traditional way but also it is applicable in websites just like webquest.

Kids Learning ABC English Trucks Kids Learning ABC English for kids is a fun and educational application, which is designed to educate as well as to entertain, help children learn English quickly and effectively. Trucks is an award winning educational creative play app. Trucks teaches sequencing, sorting, and problem solving. Mobile Game  is a game played on a feature phone, smartphones, tablet, smart watch, PDA, portable media player or graphical calculator. The problems I encountered was that it is not that totally interactive to the children because the information or the instruction of the game is not that very detailed. For me these kind of application may help children develop their critical thinking as well as they will enjoy.

Digital Story

Digital Story Digital Story Is a short form of digital media production that allows everyday people to share aspects of their story. The media used may include the digital equivalent of film techniques (full-motion video with sound), stills, audio only, or any of the other forms of non-physical media (material that exist only as electronic file as opposed to actual paintings which individuals can use to tell a story or present an idea. In making my digital story, I had a hard time inserting the audios because I'm not that very familiar with Microsoft Powerpoint also it was my first making such digital story. I felt awkward the time that I recorded my voice because I am not confident in it. As I go along with my digital story, I enjoyed listening to my voice. With the used of my mini book that I made, I accomplished my task which is to create my own story.

Mini Books

Mini Book Mini Books is a very small book. Standards for what may be termed a miniature rather than just a small book have changed through time. Based on the application that I used which was the Booktraps, I had a hard time while making the mini book because based on my experienced, once you enter a picture or text if you haven't finish it you can no longer edit it. At first, I had a hard time doing it until the time that I saw the finished output of my classmates, I instantly encourage to make it. Though it is not that easy, still I came up with a cute miniature book.

Microsoft Application

Microsoft Powerpoint Presentation Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft Applications - are comprised of mainly the office suite of applications that support various productivity needs on both Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. The problems I encountered in Microsoft Application was that I don't have laptop to use. That is why it is hard for me to access different Microsoft Applications that are necessary in making such instructions. In my case, I admit that I am not that very familiar with Microsoft Applications. Since I am in the 21st Century learner I am encouraged to learned such. Fortunately, I made used of my learning while dealing with these applications.
